They may sound funny and amusing but when you carefully and judiciously think about the little examples he cited, they seem way too sensible. His take on Christianity was based on the foundation of helping the downtrodden which I have felt is the true essence of Christianity.
But nothing beats when he says, ‘There are Christians and then there are Christians’, So much is concealed in a few words.

It certainly is a great warning for well intentioned, missionaries who do not understand the culture they are approaching Also, it highlights historical Western arrogance that says we are superior and know the right way to do things. Gives a great perspective on the differences in cultures, each with their own flaws and strengths. Will I still like this book if I’m not religious?
