Oskar Rieding — was a German violinistteacher of musicand composer of many pieces for violin and piano. Rieding’s greatest claim to fame lies in his contribution to Hungarian music, and in particular, the musical life of Budapest.
At the end of the s, he moved to Viennawhere inthe conductor Hans Richterat that time Musical Director of the National Opera House in Budapest, appointed Rieding as leader of the orchestra.
He remained there for thirty-two years, and composed some violin concertos and many drill pieces for violin and piano.
